Study Links started in 1988 at Angela and Eric Fan’s dining room table, after they had hosted international students themselves. Nearly four decades later we still run the same way: family-led, and close enough to know every student by name.
Our story
Angela and Eric began hosting international students in Bradford, and found themselves being asked to do more: talk to schools, arrange travel, be there when something went wrong. In 1988 they set up their own guardianship company to do it properly.
By 2008 Study Links had its own premises, five full-time staff and a growing network of host families. In 2013 we hosted an “Education in the UK” event at the British Embassy in Beijing, bringing together schools, businesses, parents and students.
Today we look after students from many countries at schools across the UK, supported by part-time staff and host families around the country. The scale has changed. The way we work has not.
