How to choose the right guardianship package
Elite, Classic, Limited or First Response, a plain-English guide to which package suits which family, and how to change your mind later.
There is no single right answer. The best package depends on how confident you are communicating with a UK school, how settled your child already is, and how much you want to hand over.
Start with three questions
- Do you want to deal with the school directly, or would you rather we did?
- Where will your child go at leave-weekends, half terms and holidays?
- How much notice would you want before a small problem becomes a big one?
What most families choose
Classic is the most common choice for a first year in a UK boarding school. Families who prefer to communicate in Mandarin, Cantonese or Polish, or whose child is nervous about the move, usually choose Elite. Limited works for confident families with UK experience. First Response is emergency cover only, and is popular with university foundation students.
